I particularly liked you section on turbine engine designations. Thought I would pass along some updates for you. F104 was also used on the Tacit Blue stealth demonstrator The F117 is the military designation of the PW2037. The F124-GA-400 only flew on one T-45A aircraft as a demonstrator for the Australian Lead-in-Fighter competition. The F124-GA-100 is in the Aero Vodochody L-159 fighter/trainer. The F124 is a non-afterburning version of the TFE1042-70 engine. F125-GA-100 is the US military designation for the TFE1042-70. The only application is the ROC's Ching Kuo Indigenous Defensive Fighter The F405 is the Rolls Royce/Turbomeca Adour engine. F412 was a F404 derivative planned for use in the A-12 Avenger II. It was further developed into the F414 for the F/A-18 E/F. Most of the other blanks you have on the recent engines are pretty much military designations for commercial engines used in military service. Somewhere in my archives I have a better list. If you are interested, I'll pass it along. Regards Mark Johnston (email address removed)
