Now I found some spare time for some further review of our work abut US aircraft procurements. About the Type Specification C-212 dated February 1 1939, (won by the B-24) I found also the never-built Boeing Model 322 and 333. About Type Specification XC-214, published in August 1939 and won by the North American XB-28, I found some "also run": the ubiquitous Hughes DX-2 (in guise of a 5-seats bomber), a probably late (1941) Lockheed L-129 and the Martin Model 182 XB-27.
